BIOGRAPHY

Vittoria Pagani was born in 1985 in Novara, Italy.
Under the guidance of professors Mario Dell'Ara and Guido Fichtner she studied classical guitar at the G. Cantelli Conservatory of Novara, where she graduated in 2009 with full marks.
In 2010 she was admitted to the Hochschule für Musik in Basel in the class of Maestro Pablo Márquez. During her academic studies she attended the Modal improvisation and Indian classical music courses held by Maestro Kenneth Zuckerman. In 2014 she concluded her second Master Performance in classical guitar and decided to devote herself to the study of sarod (Indian lute) at the Ali Akbar College for Indian Music in Basel under the guidance of Maestro Zuckerman.
In 2020 she graduated in music pedagogy at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.
Vittoria teaches guitar at the Musikschule Olten as well as Indian classical music at the Musikschule Basel.
She gives the course "Klassische indische Musik: Gehörbildung und geführte Improvisation" at the Musikhochschule Basel.
