About the event
The workshop is a hands-on introduction to the creative process in Indian music (Hindustani). Through traditional teaching by imitation, participants will learn the rhythmic and melodic foundations of Indian music through vocal and instrumental exercises and compositions, and will have the opportunity to create new musical phrases in style on the spot using the elements learned.
